Carina's Journey to Enide
Personal Introduction and Background
Carina’s academic and professional journey is both impressive and diverse. She studied economics at the University of Costa Rica (UCR), followed by a master’s degree in finance and risk, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Big Data & Analytics at the EAE Business School in Barcelona. Her career began in the finance sector, transitioned to a regional bank in Latin America, and ultimately led her to the world of projects and information/process automation—a field she is deeply passionate about.
Role and Responsibilities at Enide
At Enide, Carina is currently working on the AWARD project, which focuses on developing automation system technology for autonomous vehicles in various scenarios. Her main role involves assessing the impact of these autonomous vehicles by quantifying different indicators such as efficiency, environmental impact, and safety using data. Carina finds this work particularly exciting due to its innovative nature and potential positive impact on the logistics industry and beyond.
Integration into the Enide Team
Carina has found Enide to be very “family friendly” and approachable. She appreciates the willingness of her colleagues to help, clarify doubts, and provide necessary documentation. David, Loha, and Nacho have been especially supportive during her integration into the team.
Personal Interests and Hobbies
Outside of work, Carina enjoys outdoor activities and exercise, particularly CrossFit. She also practices daily meditation and enjoys artistic activities such as cinema, music festivals, and visiting museums. Living in Barcelona, she has found an ideal place to indulge in her hobbies. Her professional interests in economic and social matters, as well as data-driven decision-making, intersect with her personal interests, making her role at Enide a perfect fit.
Pol's Path to Professional Growth
Personal Introduction and Background
Pol is currently studying Business Administration and Management at UAB. Before joining Enide, he worked as a sales specialist at Star Bike, a company specializing in the sale of new and secondhand motorbikes. During his Erasmus program in Rotterdam, he studied New Economic Thinking and Social Entrepreneurship, which profoundly influenced his views on sustainability and the importance of creating positive societal impact.
Role and Responsibilities at Enide
As a Business Development Intern at Enide, Pol’s responsibilities include looking for new proposals, attending events and conferences to find new clients and partners, and identifying new funding and business opportunities for Enide. He is currently collaborating with Flavia, our Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer and International R&D&I projects, on a proposal called NebulOuS, which focuses on cloud/edge computing. This project is particularly exciting for Pol and aligns with the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
Integration into the Enide Team
Pol has found the integration process at Enide to be incredibly rewarding, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation. From day one, he has felt welcomed and supported by his colleagues, who are not only highly skilled but also genuinely invested in helping each other succeed.
Personal Interests and Hobbies
Outside of work, Pol enjoys skiing, swimming, and playing soccer with childhood friends. These activities keep him physically active and provide opportunities to socialize and reconnect. He also has a keen interest in staying informed about current political, social, and economic issues, which helps him understand the broader context of the world around him. His interest in sustainability aligns with Enide’s mission, making his role here even more fulfilling.
